Two Marathi plays- Na Yeti Uttare and Dreams of Taaleem will be staged at Sudarshan Rang Manch starting today. The programme has been organised by Maharashtra Cultural Centre in collaboration with Mumbai- based Zero Theatre Company. While Dreams of Taaleem will be staged today,tomorrow and on Sunday at 7 pm,Na Yeti Uttare will take place on Sunday at 11 am. Written by Sachin Kundalkar and directed by Sunil Shanbag,Dreams of Taaleem is a play about theatre,love,passion,longing,acceptance and rejection. Na yetee uttare,written and directed by Pramod Kale was first performed at Sudarshan rangamanch,Pune on January 26 while Dreams of Taaleem was first performed at Prithvi theatre,Mumbai. An interactive session has been organised immediately after the show of Na Yetee Uttare on Sunday. Veteran film expert Samar Nakhate,social activist Vidya Bal and Dr Bhushan Shukla will participate in this discussion anchored by theatre expert Ajay Joshi.

Child’s play
City-based Pramod Gore is all set to launch his first film- Let’s Go Back which is scheduled for a release within a few months from now. The film,produced,directed and written by Gore is an amalgamation of comedy and thriller and handles the sensitive issue of child- suicide in an artistic and light manner. “This will be a guideline for children of all ages. What makes this film an interesting watch are melodious songs that go well with the script,” says Gore. The film asks various questions about child suicides such as- what causes child suicides,what are the reasons behind children leaving their education and going astray and so on. The lead role in the film is played by actor Ashok Raut who will be seen along with a few new faces. “This is a light story with a message for both- parents as well as kids and I am sure that the audiences will go back with an enriched experience after watching the film,” Gore adds.
