Luxury redefined
The sprawling Corinthians – Boutique Hotel that was launched in a glittering ceremony on Saturday,sure sets new benchmarks in the city. With its unusual architecture inspired from Morocco and elegant décor,the hotel had the Who’s Who of the city in attendance at the launch with Sulekha and Nitin Nyati playing perfect hosts. Thematic dance sequences by Santosh Shetty’s dance troupe enthralled the audiences in an innovative presentation that used the different levels of the place to showcase the performances. An elaborate range of choicest delicacies at Salsa,the Indian and a Greek restaurant and flowing spirits kept the mood upbeat as did the conducted tours of the hotel,its luxurious rooms and spa. The center of attraction though was the Brew House Pub,the first of its kind in the country that offers a variety of handcrafted beers from its own attached brewery in many different varieties.

Racing around
While the Sunday race day derbies are always a good place to spot the crème de la crème of the city,this Sunday the horse racing fraternity played host to former Union Minister Jaswant Singh,who was spotted spending some quality time at the racecourse along with the usual glitterati that frequent the venue. The minister was spectator to the the Casino Royale Indian ST. Leger (Gr.1) race,which was won by Antonios. Antonios was ridden by jockey P Kamlesh and trained by trainer SS Shah. In addition to enjoying the relaxed Sunday ambience at the racecourse Singh also shared some light moments with RWITC Managing Committee members Vivek Jain and Champaklal Zaveri. The trophy for the winning horse was handed over by Arun Kapoor,Group CEO,Delta Corporation to the owners of Antonio — Farouq and Jaffarali Rattonsey and Hussain Sultan Ali Nensey.
