Mika Singh gets candid about his bad boy image and experiments with music
Options dilute the determination. If we have more than one option,we tend to put in less effort as we can then bank on other probabilities,while if we have only one option we put in our best effort, says controversys favourite child,Mika Singh,who was in town for a performance at a friends party.
Explaining the reason behind his behaviour at the show,he says,We cannot expect participants to be perfect at the first go. For the participants,who come from small cities it is a huge task to perform on stage and in front of stalwarts like Shankar Mahadevan or Shann and they are bound to make mistakes out of sheer nervousness. And if he or she makes a mistake we should not discourage them by pointing those mistakes. We are there to hone their talent and not to curb that by passing strong remarks.
During one of the shows,Singh had alleged that all the reality shows are booked in advance. Yes,I strongly feel that the winners are pre-decided. And if someday a news breaks that people bet money on candidates,I will not be amazed. I have always seen that one with whom the entire nation pins hope,finally loses. This proves how much money a bookie will make if people bet money on the candidate going by the judge scores. There are a lot of loopholes when we leave the judgment to people,as we dont know,who are those people who actually vote always.
Making a clean chit of his tiff with Shann,he says that on stage all the judges are more mentors and less fellow colleagues. Our candidate is more important and that leads to defense. In that process I happen to say something to Shann when he remarks that my candidate is out of tune. However,off stage we are as good as friends,with no malice against each other.
Talking about his bad boy image,he says,Truth and controversy go hand in hand. I do what I feel like doing. I bought a big car,when I was not a known face in the industry. However,the intention was not to own a big vehicle as a status symbol,but to remain happy. In a nutshell People plan after they are successful,I plan to become successful.
About his songs,he says,I have tried to keep it different from the past,that is,you cannot put all my songs in one genre. And in future I will continue experimenting with the art.
