Shaken,but will fight: Kalmadi PA

When he was taken to the Patiala House court on Tuesday,Suresh Kalmadi,MP,remained cool and composed throughout his stay there. He is disturbed but has decided to fight it out,said his close associates,several of whom had air-dashed to New Delhi after the CBI arrested him on Monday.

Manoj Bhore,personal assistant to Kalmadi,said he spoke the suspended Congress leader for a while in the court premises. “He was shaken by the development,but said he was ready to fight it out. He said he was hopeful of emerging unscathed as he done nothing wrong,” he said. Bhore said Kalmadi demanded that since he was arrested on the basis of the Shunglu Committee,others who have also been named by the committee should also be arrested. Bhore said the entire Kalmadi family was disbured by the development but was rallying around him.

Condemning the attack on Congress Bhavan,Bhore said Kalmadi has been suspended from Congress and not expelled. He said several of Pune leaders,including Deputy Mayor,where at Patiala House court when Kalmadi was brough there.

“There was noise sloganeering in favour of Kalmadi who acknowledged the support,” Bhore said.
