Seminar on graphic design held

A University of Pune- sponsored national seminar on graphic design was held recently at the Dr D Y Patil College of Applied Art & Craft.

A University of Pune- sponsored national seminar on graphic design was held recently at the Dr D Y Patil College of Applied Art & Craft. It was inaugurated by artist Ravi Paranjpe.

On the occasion,he said such activities should continue in the visual art so that professionals as well as teachers working in the field will get an opportunity to update their skills.

In the first session,head of the department of National institute of design (NID),Ahmedabad,Prof Anil Sinha guided the participants while describing how and why one should take inspiration from our Indian culture and natural forms. He advised students to enhance the art of expression by creating visuals appropriately.

Dr Mayuri Panse,who is in to documentary and short film making,shared her experience. She said she was the first Indian girl to be selected for National Geography Channel’s videography team. She said that didnt have any art background. She screened her short video film on adventure.
