New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): Pronouncing the entire process of discussion and seminar on the Ram Janmabhoomi as insubstantial, former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Kamal Farooqui on Saturday said that law will take its own course and it would be inappropriate to contradict the judiciary before any final statement arrives. Farooqi further added that the decision to allow such seminars completely depends on the Delhi University authority.

The seminar is being organised by the Arundhati Vashishtha Anusandhan Peeth (AVAP), a research organisation founded by late Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Ashok Singhal. A huge number of police personnel have been deployed outside the campus to control any untoward situation.

New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): Police officials on Saturday detained activists and students protesting against the Ram Janmabhoomi seminar at the Delhi University (DU). The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) members had earlier sat on a protest outside the Vice Chancellor's office, saying that programs which divide the students on the basis of their religion, should not be allowed in the university.

New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) members staged a protest outside the Vice Chancellor's office on Saturday against the Delhi University's decision to allow a seminar on Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The agitators sat on a protest outside the Vice Chancellor's office and raised slogans against him. One of the protester said that the university is a place where programs regarding job providing should be initiated, rather than such seminars as it raises mixed feelings among the students.
