Phoenix Market City is organising a Ganesh-idol-making workshop on September 15. The workshop will be conducted by Shubhankar Kamble. During the workshop,participants can buy a kit with all the material which includes: natural clay,natural colours and a wooden pedestal to make and place the idols. The event will start at 5 pm and will continue till 7 pm. Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. The mall will also organize an eco-friendly Ganesh idol exhibition from September 19 to 29 ,where patrons can exhibit their eco friendly Ganesh Idols and show their sculpting skills.

Enchanting Kerala

An enchanting cultural program was put up by the Department of Tourism,Kerala to kick start the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM 2012),held at Le Meridian International Convention Centre from September 27 to 30. The program started with a Mohiniyattam performance. A demonstration of Kalaripayattu,the classical martial art form of Kerala featured two sword fighters equipped with a sword and a shield engaged in a choreographed combat. The high-energy performance was followed with a soulful Kathakali dance-drama. In a grand finale,all these dance forms were synchronised to demonstrate the diverse and rich culture of God’s own country.
