Sathe murder: BJP corporator held

The city police arrested BJP corporator Sunil Dnyandeo Kamble in the wee hours of Sunday in connection with the murder of Maruti Sathe following a complaint filed by Sathes wife Vinita Maruti Sathe.

But,Kamble could not be produced in court as he was admitted to Sassoon hospital owing to high blood pressure.

Sathe was stabbed with sharp weapons in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon in Bibwewadi. He sustained serious injuries on his head,neck and hands,which led to his death.

The prosecution stated before the court that the police are still on the trail of the suspects Raosaheb Bhise,Datta Bhise,Vikram Deokule,Arjun Pawar,all residents Ambedkarnagar Slums Market Yard.

The prosecution requested that Kamble should be remanded to magisterial custody for seven days as presently he is admitted to Sassoon hospital. But also demanded permission from the court to seek his police custody once he is out of the hospital.
