From painting the sets of Raj Kapoor's Sangam to posters of Bollywood legends, artist Prithvi Soni talks of an interesting journey The paintings are a reflection of the artist's view on the beauty of nature and people. From painting the sets of Raj Kapoor's movie Sangam to exhibiting his works at well-known art galleries,Soni has come a long way. Soni started painting at a very young age. Be it film posters, calendar designs or book covers,Soni has always tried to highlight the beauty of ordinary things. I see beauty everywhere around me, says the artist whose paintings show folk musicians, village women, and old men in rustic robes, each an elegant portrayal on canvas. Soni has worked on the art and sets for movies like Karma,Pardes,Khalnayak,Mr India,Damini and so on. A member of the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers,he has also painted posters of Bollywood legends like Dilip Kumar,Rajinder Kumar,Raj Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.
