The Army Institute of Technology was home to a battle of a different kind on the eve of Independence. Ten Death Metal bands battled it out for supremacy at their event ‘Battle of the Bands’ that was held at the AIT campus. Amongst others bands like Consecration,Dark Helm,Hulahkuh were present. The bands belted out both originals as well as popular covers that had the audience headbanging to the fast riffs of the guitar,the growling vocals and the machine-gun drum beats. Speaking about the same professor Manoj Khaladkar,said,We were amazed at the response that we got for the event. We will streamline the process for next year and will make it bigger and better.
Denmark beats
Daniel Handi,an international musician from Denmark will be performing at Stone Water Grill,Koregaon Park on August 19 at the Sunday Sunsets event. The artiste has performed at venues across the world,from Ministry of Sound in London to QBH Club in Sydney. Handi has also featured on shows like A State Of Trance and Trance Around The World.

Community-based travel company Black Swan is hosting a screening of ‘One Crazy Ride’,a travel movie about five adrenaline junkies who traverse the difficult terrain in Arunachal Pradesh and discover beauty and camaraderie there. Author Deepak Dalal will also share his experiences travelling in the North-East. The screening will take place at the Flourworks in Kalyani Nagar from 1230 onwards and entry for the event costs Rs 150,which covers coffee and snacks.
