Range Hill Warriors,Hasten FC in round two

Range Hills Warriors scraped past Surya Hawks 6-4 via tiebreak,while Commandos and Hasten FC scored easy wins to make it to the second round of the second-third division of the Rupee Cup Football Tournament organised by the Keshav-Madhav Pratisthan and KP XI at the S.P College Grounds here on Monday.

Range Hills warrior scored a exciting 6-4 win via tiebreak over Surya Hawks. The match ended 1-1 at full time with Surya Hawk’s T Surya scoring the first goal in the 49th minute. Almost immediately,Aditya Kulkarni scored for Range Hills warriors in the 52nd minute to level scores,leading to a tiebreak. Surya Hawks’s player Mayur Mule was named the man of match. Range Hills Warriors won the tiebreaker 5-3. Nikhil Shanguru,Arshad Shaikh,Tapan De,Amol Jadhav and Sunil Pillai scored for the winners while Tejas Gunawant,Mayur Mule and Arjun Gupta scored for the losing team. In another match,Commandos beat Phoenix ‘B’ 2-0 with goals coming from Parwinder Singh and Rakesh Hamalgudu. In the third match of the day,Hasten FC breezed past opponents Invaders 3-0 with two goals from Vipul Gaikwad and one from Nimish Nair.
