POLICE have registered a criminal offence against two peons from a management training institute in Nigdi for allegedly swapping submitted answer sheets of Master of Business Administration (examination) with those written outside, in connivance with the students.
Police said that after further investigations, the students, who were part of the racket, will also be booked.
A First Information Report in this regard has been registered by Dr Prasad Kulkarni, who is assistant registrar with the examination department of the Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Two peons working with Institute of Management and Career Development in Nigdi, have been booked under Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University and other Specified Examinations Act, 1982.
Police said that some workers of Shiv Sena had received information that the two peons — identified as Nitin Sawant and Satish Gote — were swapping the papers submitted during the exam with those written by some students on blank answersheets sneaked out by them.
A team of Sena workers were following the two when they entered the house. When they were on their way to give the answer sheets written by the students to the Central Assessment Project location around 1.30 pm, the police were called at that point.
A team from Chatushrungi police station entered the house of the lady student and seized some envelopes from the two peons. They were taken to the police station and offence was registered.
A senior officer from Chatushrungi police station said that after the probe, offence may be registered against the lady student or others if they are found involved or having benefited from the racket.
