(Videograb) Seven people were injured after a tempo truck moving at a high speed rammed into seven vehicles in Pirangut area in Pune last week. A video of the accident, captured from a security camera installed at a shop, has now surfaced.
Officials from Paud police station under Pune Rural police said the accident took place on November 18 around 12.45 pm on Pune Kolad Road in Pirangut area near Pune.

“The truck carrying cement paver blocks, moving at very high speed, hit seven vehicles including five bikes, a tempo and an SUV car before coming to a halt. Seven people have sustained injuries in the accident. They were admitted to nearby hospitals.” said Inspector Manojkumar Yadav, in-charge of Paud police station.
The police have identified the injured persons as Lalit Ananda Patil, Dr Mangesh Gaikwad, Shrikant Waghmare, Hansraj Gautam, Bajrang Mazire and Poonam Mazire. The driver of the tempo truck Govind Lal (27), has also sustained injuries in the accident and has been detained by the police after the accident.
Inspector Yadav said, “We have obtained footage from a security camera installed on a shop which shows that the truck was moving at very high speed.”
