Preet Mandir gets HC stay

The Bombay High Court a stay on Tuesday on further action in respect of transfer of children from Preet Mandir to other institutions by the Commissioner of Women and Child Development.

The Bombay High Court a stay on Tuesday on further action in respect of transfer of children from Preet Mandir to other institutions by the Commissioner of Women and Child Development.

The order came after hearing a writ by the institution challenging the suspension order of domestic adoption license,passed by the commissioner and his subsequent order of transferring children to other institutes on June 16.

The court has directed the commissioner Women and Child Development to file a reply with respect to the said petition. Justice DD Sinha and Justice Mrudula Bhatkar hears the writ filed by Preet Mandir challenging the suspension of licence.

The Commissioner had issued a showcause notice to Preet Mandir directing them to reply within 4 days.
