Power crisis will be resolved soon : Shinde

In a year-and-a-half,the state will be self-sufficient in power generation.

In a year-and-a-half,the state will be self-sufficient in power generation. The Congress-NCP government has commissioned power projects which would be complete by then,Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said here on Monday.

Shinde was speaking at the election rally of Rohit Tilak,Congress-NCP candidate from Kasba Peth constituency. “Tilak has been active in the constituency through the NSUI and thus knows the issues that citizens here face,” he said.

“With the Munde-Gadkari conflict,the BJP is unstable and the Shiv Sena too has internal disputes. It was Gopinath Munde who was responsible for the Enron failure. Only the Congress-NCP alliance can give a stable government to the state,” said Shinde.

Commenting on the Vilasrao Deshmukh- Narayan Rane union,Shinde said,“Both- Deshmukh and Rane are senior Congress leaders and their combined leadership will help the party in the assembly polls.”

On Kalmadi and Pawar coming together,Shinde added,“This will encourag the party workers who have not been working together owing to various reasons. The senior leaders coming together will push them to work together towards the benefit of the Congress-NCP alliance.”
