PoP held at INS Shivaji

The passing out parade of nine officers of the 107th Basic Engineering Course and 72 officers of the Naval Engineering Course from INS Shivaji,Lonavla was held Thursday.

The passing out parade of nine officers of the 107th Basic Engineering Course and 72 officers of the Naval Engineering Course from INS Shivaji,Lonavla was held Thursday. Vice-admiral Satish Soni,Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Naval Command inspected the guard of honour and the parade.

The Naval College of Engineering conducts a three year Basic Engineering Course and a four year Naval Engineering Course and awards B-Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University,New Delhi.

A valedictory function was also held to mark the graduation of officers of the 107th Basic Engineering Course and 25th Naval Engineering Course from the portals of the Naval College of Engineering.

Soni inaugurated NEC Bastion. The museum is a tribute to the 25 years of diligent service of the NEC officers and showcases various aspects of training of the NEC cadets.

The Sword of Honour for standing First in the overall order of merit was awarded to Sub Lt Siddharth Rajan of 25th Naval Engineering Course and Flag Officer Commanding-in Chief,South Gold Medal for standing First in academics was awarded to Sub Lt Sanjoy Kundu of 25th Naval Engineering Course.

Lt Anshul of 107th Basic Engineering Course was awarded trophy for standing First in the overall order of merit.
