The district collectorate has declared a public holiday on Thursday for government establishments in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) jurisdiction to enable people to vote. Private organisations have been directed to give a minimum of two-hour relaxation in the working hours so that employees can exercise their franchise.
Voting will be from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. The district collector has issued relevant orders for a public holiday to government offices in PMC limits. Private organisations have been directed to give at least two hours off on polling day, said Pravin Ashtikar,PMC election officer.
