Expecting anytime the announcement of state assembly elections,the PMC standing committee on Monday approved development work proposals worth Rs 50 crore,including 300 ton vermin-composting plant and Rs 15,000 advance to the civic staff,for the city.
The election code of conduct can be announced anytime. The development work might get hamper due to it so development work proposals worth Rs 50 crore were approved in the standing committee meeting, Committee chairman Nilesh Nikam told reporters.
He said the increasing demand for effective garbage disposal has been addressed with approval of three vermin-composting project,each of 100 ton capacity at Urali Devachi.
Every project will cost Rs seven crore to the civic administration,Nikam said adding the proposal for conducting total station survey for the new Development Plan (DP) of the city was approved unanimously. Since,the Sixth Pay Commission of the PMC yet to get approved,the standing committee has decided to give Rs 15,000 advance to all the civic staff as part of the arrears.
