The Pune Bar Association (PBA) did not go ahead with its plans to include the ‘right-to-reject’ option for the polls.

“We shall, however, hold the GB after the new body is formed and ensure that the ‘right to reject’ option is included in next year’s elections,” said Milind Pawar, returning officer of the PBA elections held on Tuesday at Ashoka Hall,Shivajinagar court.

Counting was over late on Tuesday night and advocate Ashok Sankpal was elected the president of the PBA for 2012-13. Sankpal got 1998 of the total 3,300 votes and will take over from outgoing PBA president Dhananjay Taur.
