‘One Pune’ Metro cards launched for students; first 10k free of cost

The cards can be recharged or topped up at Pune Metro station counters, digital kiosks at Metro stations, or online through the ‘One Pune Card’ customer portal.

Shravan Hardikar, the managing director of Pune Metro, said, “The introduction of the ‘One Pune Vidyarthi Pass’ is a significant step forward, which aims to make commuting for students not only economical but also secure, comfortable, and fast, enabling them to focus on their assignments or pursue their hobbies with the saved travel time. It is more than just a travel solution, it is a student’s best companion.”

After the inaugural offer, students will be able to buy ‘One Pune Vidyarthi Passes’ by paying an issuance fee of Rs 150, with an annual fee of Rs 75. When loading or topping up the card, a fee of 1.8 per cent of the recharge value is charged, not exceeding Rs 12. In the event of card replacement or re-issuance, a fee of Rs 150 is applicable. The pass also offers the convenience of checking the balance without any additional charge.
