Ever heard of a ‘social thriller’? The recently-released Marathi movie,Kunasathi Kunitari (Anyone For Anyone),claims to be just that. Friday saw the cast and crew interacting with fans in the city. Written by Jeet Bodinge,it is the story of a misguided and rebellious youngster sharing a difficult relationship with his father,and who later discovers secrets of a past life. Set partly amongst bustling modernity and partly in the quiet simplicity of rural Konkan,the film marks the directorial debut of Rekha Sahaay in Marathi cinema. Having directed and acted in Hindi theatre,film and television since 1987,and having been an avid watcher of Marathi cinema and theatre,Sahaay felt that this was the obvious next step for her.
