After having dabbled in writing comic series,cartooning and short stories for children,writer Jhangir Kerawala,was in the city for the launch of his book titled JFK . JFK is his debut novel. The book is a fast-paced suspense thriller set in the old city of Kolkata. The storyline revolves around a fifty-year-old man who is framed for the murder of his best friend and how he tries to solve the murder mystery to clear his own name.

The fifth edition of the Pre-Diwali Yellow Ribbon NGO Fair (YRNF) will be hosted by Ishanya Foundation from October 26 to 29. With ‘Ecology to Economy’ as its theme,the four-day event will provide festive and unconventional gifting ideas for Diwali,with diyas,candles,lanterns,Diwali snacks and sweets,and unique dress material and sarees. Proceeds go towards helping underprivileged women supported by the foundation. The fair can be visited at Ishanya Mall,off Airport Road.
