On Sunday,singer Neeraj Shridhar,the lead vocalist of Bombay Vikings,added quite a zing to the family day celebrations of IT firm ADP. He took to the mic at Laxmi Lawns,Magarpatta City,and belted out one hit track after the other,from Hare Ram Hare Ram to Character Dheela Hai .

Hailing from Jalandhar,this singer shifted base to Sweden at the age of 13 and formed the famous Bombay Vikings with two Swedish musicians. “ Woh Chali appealed to the international audience then. But remixes have lost their market now,” feels the singer. “I did not run behind success in India. But it felt great to get recognition,” shares Shridhar who one day hopes to lend his voice for Hrithik Roshan.

Shridhar is known for his peppy music videos. “I have always ensured that they have no obscenity or vulgarity,” he points out. He recently sang for reality show Khatron ke Khiladi. He admits that it’s difficult to sing for the small screen. “I would never want to judge a children’s music reality show. It pains me to see the tiny tots singing numbers originally sung by people triple their age,” he says. Shridhar wants to take his brand of music beyond just dance numbers. “I underestimated my singing abilities until I sang Mera Jeena Hai Kya for Aashayein,” he says.
