Officials of India Meteorological Department said there will be no further dip in temperature at least for the next few days. While the minimum temperature on Friday morning was 6.6 °C,Saturday’s forecast says it will be around 8°C.

“As the westerly winds and western disturbances have moved towards the north eastern parts of India, the cold wave conditions can be expected to end. We can rule out a further dip. Another western disturbance has formed in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. If it moves towards J&K,another round of temperature dip can be expected later,” an IMD official said.

Other parts of the state also recorded a rise in minimum temperature. In Nashik, the minimum temperature on Friday was 6.6°C,while in Santa Cruz and Colaba it was 10.6°C and 15.5°C respectively.
