Folk Print
Artist Priya Ghosh is exhibiting her paintings made in Warli and Kalamkari styles at Bliss Art Gallery till July 13. The ancient folk art has found a special place on the canvas of Ghosh,a graduate from School of Fashion Technology,Pune. I have used pigment colours and mixed them with a binder for the Kalamkari paintings. This makes the colours permanent and waterproof even after drying completely. I have also made few more colours using this technique and used very fine paint brushes for detailing, she says. The gallery is open from 9 am to 6 pm.
