(X/ Pune City Police) Pune City Police have released a digital map of the traffic changes and road diversions being implemented during the 10-day Ganesh festival. The digital map, in the form of two videos, was released on social media by the Pune City Police on Wednesday.
The Ganesh festival is being celebrated this year between September 19, Ganesh Chaturthi and September 28, Anant Chaturdashi. Considering the huge footfall of devotees and tourists to central parts of Pune during Ganesh festival, the Pune police on Tuesday announced traffic changes which will be in force from 5 pm onwards everyday through the entire duration of the festival.

In a message to the citizens in the videos, Pune City Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr said that the police were expecting an aggregate footfall of around two crore people in the city during the 10-day Ganesh festival. Police have also banned traffic of heavy vehicles on 10 arterial roads during the festival.
