With a Masters in French from Pune University,Amruta Patwardhan looks forward to various job opportunities

I have always been inclined towards learning various foreign languages and communicating in them. After junior college, instead of doing a correspondence course,or doing a certificate course side by side,I decided that a Bachelors degree in French is what I wanted to do. Through my Bachelor and Masters courses in French I went about doing a number of extra-curricular activities not just to help me in French, but also because it interested me. After completing all the levels at Alliance Francais,I was fortunate to land an exchange in Denmark. The Denmark exchange was a great learning experience. As I was working as a teaching assistant, not only did it help me gain a certain amount of confidence, but it also opened up the avenue of teaching for me. After graduating, the two main options I am considering are translation and interpretation. Languages have always been a passion and I’ve dabbled in a bit of Spanish as well and wish to continue that. I’ve graduated this year,so probably after taking a small break,I am eager and looking forward to communicating and working with foreign languages.
