(File)A violent altercation between two individuals in the village of Patsangvi in Bhoom taluka took the life of an individual outside the polling booth of the village. The local police issued a press note saying that the altercation was due to personal animosity and had no political angle to it.
At around 11.30 am on Tuesday a violent altercation broke out between Gaurav Naiknavare (23) and Samadhan Patil (27) outside the Zilla parishad school in the village which was the polling station. Both attacked each other with sharp weapons which lead to injuries to both. The local residents and police soon transferred them to the hospital for further treatment. While both the parties have political background and belonged to the rival groups of Shiv Sena, the fight, as per police, was due to personal animosity and not political rivalry. Polling started soon afterwards.
