‘More awareness on autism needed’

The Special Child Trust (TSCT) is supporting Action for Autism (AFA),the pioneering national autism society in India,in celebrating the second World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) today.

The Special Child Trust (TSCT) is supporting Action for Autism (AFA),the pioneering national autism society in India,in celebrating the second World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) today.

WAAD celebrates the talents and skills of persons with autism,who are warmly welcomed and embraced in community events around the globe,says a release. Autism organisations across the world will carry out activities to spread awareness about autism amongst leaders,lawmakers,teachers,schools,medical professionals,corporate and the general community. There will be walks,seminars,discussions,plays,performances,radio programmes,presentations,art carnivals,and a host of other activities,all aimed at bringing autism into social consciousness.
