MKCL introduces study programme for JEE,NEET aspirants

The Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) has introduced a computer-based study programme to prepare candidates for Joint Entrance Examination

The Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) has introduced a computer-based study programme to prepare candidates for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for engineering and National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate medical courses.

The MKCL initiative ‘Mastering JEE and NEET’ comprises test preparation and mock-test series for aspirants, claims an official release issued on Monday.

“MKCL’s learning framework will be installed in computer labs of designated colleges, which will then register their students into the system. Students will have to visit colleges and take the mock tests at the computer lab of the college,” says the release.

In 2012,the Ministry for Human Resource Development had announced ‘one nation one test’ policy for entrance to engineering and medical colleges. The policy has been implemented in Maharashtra 2013 onwards. Candidates scheduled to appear for JEE (Main) and NEET in 2015 are eligible for the MKCL initiative, for which they would have to pay certain charges.

Also, students enrolling for this programme will be given a chance to appear on a preliminary examination on a particular day at the same time from across the state after which a state-wide ranking list would be released by MKCL. This will give the students an idea as to where they stand in the state as per their merit.

Further details about the MKCL initiative are available on http://www.jee.mkcl.org and http://www.neet.mkcl.org.
