MunIcipal Commissioner Mahesh Pathak on Tuesday said that a meeting with Kirkee Cantonment Board (KCB) and Bombay Engineering Group (BEG) will be held on Thursday to resolve the issue of BEG campus nullah channelising work.
The KCB has conveyed that they have no problem with the civic body taking up the work of channelising the nullah that passes through the BEG campus. We urge BEG to allow the cleaning of the nullah that is blocked and could result in a disaster during monsoon, said Pathak.
Meanwhile, the municipal commissioner attributed the delay in starting the UID registration to non-availability of machines. We are waiting for the machines to re-start the UID registration. The PMC plans to install two machines in every electoral panel for the registration, he added.
