Colonial cousins
A common complaint,while eating out,is that one can either have Indian food,or continental never both at the same place. Well,that is about to change. Hotel Shreyas has organised a unique Jugalbandi Food Festival,which will see trademark Indian Dishes on one side and Continental Dishes on the other . So when you pick your plate you can have Varan Phala and Italian Pasta ,Chana Bhatora and Mexican Baked Beans on Toast ,Modak and Chinese Dimsum ,Kharvas and Mango Cheese Cake ,or Puran Poli and American Pan Cake. The festival is on two days – October 16 and 17 and will be held from 7pm -10pm at Gharkul Lawns near Mahtre bridge. Prior reservations are required.

Beer,sausages and sauerkraut: typical of Germany? Well,not exactly. Citrus Hotels,Pimpri is celebrating the Oktoberfest. On offer are unlimited Beer and unlimited snacks (both veg and non-geg). The hotel has also arranged a special Ladies Night on two Wednesdays – October 20 and 27, where women can enjoy a discount of 50 percent. And most exclusively,a special sizzler menu is also on offer,specific to the Oktoberfest week.
