Man found dead near Mulshi

A car driver Ramesh Pandurang Mandekar (35) was allegedly murdered and thrown into the bushes near Chande in Mulshi taluka on Thursday night.

A car driver Ramesh Pandurang Mandekar (35) was allegedly murdered and thrown into the bushes near Chande in Mulshi taluka on Thursday night. The Hinjewadi police on Friday found his mutilated body in a nullah. Animal appear to have gnawed at the body.

Mandekar’s brother Sandip,a resident of Chande,has lodged a complaint in the case. Investigation officer,sub inspector P V Bhosale said that Mandekar was ridback home on his motorcycle when he was attacked with sharp weapons on the Maan – Chande road. The assailants then dumped his body in a canal nearby and informed the police on Friday.

Police identified the body from the belongings and called the family members for identification.

Brother of the deceased lodged the first information report at Hinjewadi police station.

“The body was in a bad state and some animal had bitten off some parts of the body. We have formed teams for investigating the case,” said sub inspector Bhosale.
