On October 18, he received a message from a Facebook account with a fake name, where the user threatened to kill him. In the complaint, he stated that the unidentified person operating the Facebook account might be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.A 40-year-old man, who received a threat to his life, lodged a complaint with the Pune city police alleging that the Facebook account from where the message was sent was being operated by a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
An FIR was lodged at the Swargate police station on Sunday. According to the FIR, the complainant is a resident of Salisbury Park in Pune and a social activist.

Police have booked the accused under Sections 351(3), 351(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act. Senior police inspector Yuvraj Nandre is investigating the case.
