Labour law association elections on Friday

The elections to the Labour Law Practitioners Association (LLPA),Pune,will be held on Friday. These are the 47th annual elections of the LLPA-Pune for the post of president,vice president,secretary,treasurer and five committee members.

Only one person each had submitted their candidature for the post of secretary and treasurer they have already been appointed. Advocate Vijay Raje has been appointed the secretary,while advocate Pramod Galinde has been chosen as the treasurer, said advocate Nilesh Malunjkar,former secretary of LLPA-Pune.

Four other candidates are vying for the posts of president and vice president. Advocates Shrikant Malegaonkar and JS Sahasrabuddhe have submitted their candidature for president,while Avinash Satpute and Krishna Divekar are competing for the vice president’s post.

Voting will take place on Friday from 11 am to 1.30 pm at the Pune District Labour Court followed by the annual general body meeting. A total of 151 members of the LLPA Pune will cast their votes by ballot and results would be declared immediately after the general body meeting,Malunjkar said.
