Dinner or coffee dates, movies or hookah nights married couples have enough ways of keeping the romance alive
The ceremonies conclude, the family settles in and then begins a life of responsibilities. Of course, the romantics will argue that marriage goes way beyond that marriage is about two soulmates spending a life together, sharing its ups and downs. Some insist that the beauty of marriage lies in growing old together, while others describe it as a forever date.
The movie Date Night gave quite a few couples the idea of dating their spouse. Then there are others who have movie nights or coffee dates. Rajev and Samara Jagwanee meet for coffee every evening. Every evening,we ask again, and Rajev nods,We have been doing so for five or six years now. It gets a little difficult now with the baby but we still try our best. So this couple usually heads to one of their favourite coffee bars at 5.30 pm everyday. See,were both busy through the day and at home, its difficult to just unwind and catch up as there are so many other things going on. The interaction is different. But our coffee time is just for us, says the doting husband.
If for some its coffee and dinner, for others like Chinmay and Vaibhavi Patwardhan, its a hookah date that becomes their together time and adds that spice and romance to their relationship. Vaibhavi, who is an interior designer, quips,We go out every other day. We both love hookah and thus whether its at home or outside, that dominates our dates! Sometimes, even a quiet dinner adds to their outings. We were good friends before we got married and still are. Thus, our conversations are very relaxed and we are like buddies. We usually avoid work topics and just catch up on gossip instead. Its all about having fun, she adds.
Well, the means may be many but the goal is one to keep the chemistry, the romance and the fun intact in a marriage. And these couples, sure know how to.
