Saini further stated that to ensure wider inclusion, the eligibility income limit has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh per annum from January 2026. The scheme has also been extended to mothers whose children study in government schools and have secured over 80 per cent marks in Class 10 or 12, achieved grade-level competency under the NIPUN Bharat Mission, or whose children have been rehabilitated from severe or moderate acute malnutrition.
