It’s Chalo Dubai again for Marathi authors

“The final dates of the Dubai Meet will be decided soon,” said Milind Joshi,member of the ABMSS. “The meet in Pune will be organised in association with Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad and Punyabhushan Foundation,” he said.

The Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan to be held in the city will be a three-day event where various programmes including book exhibition and Grantha Dindi will be organised.

Joshi said the president of the Sammelan would be finalised on January 16.

“This year too,election will be held for the post of president. We have sent the ballot papers to the members of various literary organisations affiliated to ABMSS. They are supposed to submit it to the Aurangabad head office by January 15,” he said.

This year’s meet in the city will be different from the last meets as there will be a common platform form renowned as well as upcoming authors. Interview of a renowned author and a publisher will also be a highlight of the meet. As per the tradition,a veteran author will be felicitated during the meet.

Besides these programmes,there will be two poetry sessions,eight seminars and an event of storytelling.

“While the venue of the meet will be announced soon,registration fees for the meet that include residence,breakfast,lunch and dinner for three days will be Rs 1000,” said Joshi.
