More than 1,000 doctors have registered for this unique event that will include 11 sports, including team and individual events. Chairman of the ‘Indian Doctors Olympics’ (IDL) Committee Dr Nachiket Mahindrakar and Secretary Dr Ameet Dravid said that, Indian Doctor s Olympics is a remarkable sporting extravaganza that unites doctors from all corners of the country in a spirit of friendly competition and wellness.
“This is a platform where medical professionals come together to showcase their athletic prowess, foster camaraderie, and promote the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle. This prestigious event aims at celebrating the remarkable dedication and skills of doctors while emphasizing the vital role of sports in maintaining physical and mental well-being,” Dr Dravid said.
The events will be held at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, PYC Gymkhana, Deccan Gymkhana, Poona Club and Shinde ground among other venues. The motto of Indian Doctors’ Olympics 2023—Sports, Skills and Saving Lives—aims at showcasing the skills, dedication, and qualities of doctors in various team and individual sports.
