Clad in a tight-fit,tapering orange dress,Sonam Kapoor hit the town on Monday to promote her upcoming film,Players. The actress has gone from playing the delicate damsel in Saawariya to the feisty and vengeful Naina in the Abbas-Mustan remake of The Italian Job. “Bagging this role was a surprise for me. I am a big fan of all Abbas-Mustan thrillers,right from Khiladi to Race,” she said before venturing on to describe the expensive cars and the action sequences in the film. “I caused an accident in New Zealand! Also,I wasn’t used to an automatic car so I had to take classes,” she added. She is a quick learner and eventually had a great time “spinning the car,which is my introduction shot used in the promos,” she grinned. Working with her childhood buddies was what made the shooting fun. Kapoor claims to have escaped pranks played on her by Abhishek Bachchan,Bobby Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh. “Abhishek gets upset when he’s referred to as the prankster all the time! He is a fun person and cannot help having fun on the sets. Since I’ve grown up with Abhishek and Bobby,I am aware of all their moves so they cannot pull pranks on me anymore,” she said with a smile. From Reliance Digital at KPCT Towers,Fatima Nagar,the actress dropped in at Cinemax,Inorbit Mall to interact with fans.
