BSNL and Pune District Legal Services Authority have jointly arranged a Lok Nyayalay to address the issues pertaining to telephone bills and mobile bills. It will be held on Sunday at 10.30 am at New Building,Pune district court at Shivajinagar. The Lok Nyayalay will be presided over by the Principal District Judge,Pune district court. Bribery: I-T agent lands in CBI anti-corruption net
The CBI (ACB) arrested an income tax agent Vijay Prahlad Agrawal on Thursday night for demanding a bribe of Rs. 1,000 from one Rahul Vijay Kirte,a resident of Yerwada.
Hewas filing his income tax returns through Agrawal,who resides at Kashmiri Colony in Yerwada. He had to get a refund of Rs. 16,000 from the income tax department for the year 2007 2008,which was yet not received by him. Agrawal demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,000 from him. A CBI team laid a trap on Thursday night and nabbed Agrawal red-handed while accepting Rs. 1000 from Kirte. The CBI (ACB) team also recovered two cheques issued in the name of Kirte of Rs. 15,350 and one Kumari Ujjwala Suresh Tikone for Rs. 15,140 from him.
