Actor Pakhi Hegde,who has acted in regional films across the country,will make her Marathi film debut with Sat Na Gat. Scheduled to release next month,the film has her in the lead role. Hegde says,I never got a chance to act in a Marathi film despite being born and brought up here. It has been amazing acting in films of other regional languages but with this,I will be able to act in a film from my state.
String Theory
Monday saw a harmony of strings at the Osho International Meditation Resort,as sitarist Jaya Jog and violinist Nilima Radkar took to their instruments and played ragas such as Yaman,Kalavati,Shivranjani and Ragmala. The melodies of both the instruments merged together at times,while at other times,emerged as separate personalities. The two artistes were accompanied by Ramakant on the tabla and Omkar on the tambura.

Catch The Blues Task Force Band at Olive Bistro today,as it attempts to cover blues from the 50s onwards. The Blues Task Force Bands set list will take them through electric period of blues to psychedelic blues of the 60s,blues rock from the 70s,and also funk,jazz swing,shuffles,and several other branches of the diverse genre. The gig begins at 8 pm.
