Group Captain Parulkar felicitated

Sainik Mitra Pariwar,a city-based organisation working for soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces felicitated Group Captain (retd) Dilip Parulkar on Dussehra.

Sainik Mitra Pariwar,a city-based organisation working for soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces felicitated Group Captain (retd) Dilip Parulkar on Dussehra. The felicitation took place at Parulkar’s residence.

In a press release,Sainik Mitra Pariwar said,“It has been the tradition of the organisation to felicitate the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who have spent their lives fighting for the nation. As a part of the tradition,this year,we honoured Parulkar.”

Parulkar,became a commissioned Air Force officer in 1961,and participated in the 1965 India- Pakistan war as well as the 1971 war of liberation of Bangladesh,the press release said. The retired Air Force officer has also contributed towards forest conservation and agriculture after retirement.

“The felicitation ceremony began on the backdrop of the traditional sanai — choughada being played along with a rangoli being drawn in front of the entrance of the Parulkar household. He was then decorated with a Puneri pagdi and a tricolour ethnic cloth along with memento. His wife Rajlaxmi Parulkar was also present,” the press release added.
