Get class XI forms from today

The Centralised Admission Process committee informed on Wednesday that forms for admission to Class XI will be available from June 14.

The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) committee informed on Wednesday that forms for admission to Class XI will be available from June 14. The forms will be available in all junior colleges,but they will be accepted only at Fergusson College (FC) and 23 sub-centres.

Forms for students of Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) will be sold at he Laxmanrao Apte Secondary and Higher Secondary School,Apte Road. Students of CBSE and other boards will get their forms at all the centres. Forms of students from boards other than the state board will be accepted only at Laxmanrao Apte Secondary and Higher Secondary School.

This year,students from the state board will get 25 marks for sports. “However,from next year only students who opted for sports as a subject and students who have failed and need those marks to pass will get he 25 marks. The decision of giving these marks to students of other boards is still pending with the government,” said Rekha Palshikar,CAP member and vice-principal of FC.

One student will not be allowed to purchase more than two forms at a time. If the student wishes,he can get a bi-focal form. Total number of colleges in the city are 458,159 in Science is,94 in Commerce (English),95 in Commerce (Marathi),40 in Arts (English) and 70 in Arts (Marathi).
