Dreaded gangster Nilesh Ghaiwals father was among five arrested by the police for a murder conspiracy. The suspects have been identified as Bansilal Ghaiwal (60),Rahul Ubhe (21),Nilesh Shinde (21),Yogesh Jori (21) and Nilesh Jadhav (19),all residents of Kothrud. Two other persons,Nilesh Hiraman Gawde and Sada alias Vinayak Marathe,are on the run.

Gawde had allegedly fired at Vijay Thombre last month. According to the police,Thombre lodged a complaint against Gawde last month and the group allegedly planned Thombres murder to avenge the complaint. They had gathered at Ghaiwals residence to plan the murder. Acting on a tip-off,a police team arrested the suspects who had Thombres photo and a map of his residence. Police also recovered a pistol,two live cartridges,a sword,a chopper and two knives from the suspects. The Kothrud police produced the suspects before judicial magistrate S S Bose on Tuesday. They have been remanded in police custody till October 14.
