A free IT workshop on the topic “Unlimited opportunities in IT sector” was organised on Sunday by Sarathi,an NGO and Green Frog,an IT firm for students from weaker section of society who can not afford Quality Education.

Shankar Kalmani, founder of NGO Sarathi,Rahul Joshi,CEO & Director of Green Frog,V H Inamdar, director of IMCC College and Dilip Tikle,Director of connect.dot, were present at the programme held at Maharashtra Education Society auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion Kalmani said. “Technology and poverty can not go hand in hand. Due to lack of proper awareness on the opportunities available in IT sector today the country has many unemployed graduates. We have undertaken a small step to percolate the importance of IT to the grass root level which can lead to social upliftment.”

“In spite of vast opportunities available in IT sector; it has failed to reach to every section of society. It is important to reach out to students before they complete the graduation by creating awareness and guiding them about the available avenues in IT sector.” said joshi. The seminar was attended by around 200 students .
