Four arrested for stealing & trying to

Four persons,who were allegedly trying to sell valuable metal idols stolen from a fort at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh,have been arrested in a joint operation of Lonavala police and Madhya Pradesh police.

Four persons,who were allegedly trying to sell valuable metal idols stolen from a fort at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh,have been arrested in a joint operation of Lonavala police and Madhya Pradesh police. Police said the suspects identified as Shailesh Chauhan,Neeraj Shukla,Pavan Shukla and Rajesh Shukla were arrested late on Sunday night and in the early hours of Monday. A team from Lonavala police was working on the information passed on by the Madhya Pradesh police. Inspector Vishnu Pawar of Lonavala police said the suspects were arrested with the help of a dummy customer. He said Chauhan,who worked as a labourer at the fort,had stolen the idols made of brass and other metals with the help of Neeraj. The other two were trying to sell them in Lonavala,he added.
