An explosives expert from the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory,Delhi,M B Vardhan on Friday deposed before additional sessions judge N P Dhote in the German Bakery blast case. He said RDX was used in the blast along with ammonium nitrate and oil to increase intensity. RDX heats up the environment and reduces particles into fine dust. Such dust was found stuck to articles found at the blast site. These particles are studied in the forensic laboratory, he said. Seven samples collected from the blast site were shown to the court.
Thakur gets bail
Additional chief judicial magistrate V K Yawalkar granted bail to Paresh Thakur,son of Amravati divisional commissioner Ganesh Thakur,in an alleged cheating case.
Thakur was released against a personal bond of Rs 25,000 in an ex-parte order,on the condition that he will be present at the CBI office on Mondays and Tuesdays between 11 am and 1.30 pm. CBI special public prosecutor Vivek Saxena said the bail plea was to be heard at 3.30 pm,but the court ordered Thakurs release on bail without giving him a hearing. When Saxena conveyed the same to Yawalkar,he advised him to challenge the order in the sessions court.
Court to reopen on Monday
The court will reopen after summer vacation on Monday. While the civil courts are closed during vacation,criminal courts and some magistrate courts are open. The court staff also work during the vacation.
