Football tourney: Bishops send Dastur packing

The Bishops School Camp routed Dastur School 5-0 in the Bishops Invitational Football tournament at the Bishops football ground camp on Saturday.

The Bishops School Camp routed Dastur School 5-0 in the Bishops Invitational Football tournament at the Bishops football ground camp on Saturday.

Bishops dominated the entire game and left no chance for the opposition to come back. They started the game on the front foot and launched many attacks on the opposition goal.

They were rewarded for their pressure in the 12th minute when they took the lead through Jyotish Mohinani. They took a lot of confidence from that goal and started playing some flowing football.

They peppered the opposition goal with attacks and got a second goal before halftime. Siddharth Mehrotra gave them a comfortable two goal lead going into halftime.

The second half saw more of he same from both teams. Bishops were on the attack while Dastur failed to find a way forward. SIddharth Mehrotra scored his second goal of the game in the 30th minute and gave his team a 3-0 lead. Leon Bernard sealed victory for his team when he scored the fourth goal in the 38th minute.

Farhan Sayyed added the icing on the cake when he scored the fifth goal in the 40th minute. The referee blew his final whistle soon after and the match ended 5-0.
