Folk Flavour
Gandh Maticha,an album of Marathi folk songs that features Pune-based musician Anand Modak,was launched at Mumbai by Universal Music Group. The event was attended by Pt Yashwant Dev,Ashok Patki,Uday Diwane,Urmila Dhangar and Narendra Bhide. The album has numbers such as Ujwal danyanchi oti,Roop ga tujha sakwar,Hirvya Raniche,Ajun majhe vay navtiche,Bharlela Abhal,Buddha Vandana and Dili bhimraya,which have been sung by Dhangar.
Point of View
A one-day photography workshop by wildlife photographer Mayur Desale and nature photographer Saee Bhurke will help enthusiasts understand the fundamental techniques and practical use of a digital camera. The resource people will help the group understand points of view and see things artistically. The eight-hour session will be divided into five hours in the classroom and three hours practice session that will also delve into reading pictures and developing a way for self assessment. The workshop will be held on November 17 from 10 am to 6 pm at Aundh.
